monday musings: glitter

Oh we are gettin' ultra glammy this Monday a.m. Whoever thought Monday would be glamorous?!? We are making it that way. And for those of you wondering...no, Ke$ha has not hijacked Sadie + Stella. We are loving major pops of glam in the home. Glitter was once only associated with the Holidays. This is no more my friends. Now for you glitter addicts, weaving flashy pieces into your home will be a breeze! Go big or go home we say. For those of you who consider themselves glitter adverse, start small. Even a subtle white sequin throw pillow adds dimension and shine to a space.

We love the delicate look of this room. All the pieces are complimentary and calming and then...BAM. Silver sequin pillow. Ke$ha would be making it rain with glitter up in this monkey.
Extreme example of glitter in decor, however, HUGE impact. This is from a Kate Spade store, which for those of you who do not know, we are OBSESSED with Kate Spade. Unhealthy obsession. This wall is so major. We cannot even handle the glamminess. We just coined that word.
Another subtle addition of glam to a room. Who wouldn't want the back of a Louis XVI chair glammed out? Seriously. This could be a potential DIY project. Thoughts?
Another understated pop of glamour. This glitter tray creates huge impact in this small charming space. Also, another simple DIY project. Just get yourself a tray and a can of glitter spray paint.

VoilĂ !

Another example of extreme measures. So serious though. We would love this on a scale of framed art. Would be amazeballs in a white space. Loves.
Glitter duvet? Check. This is so glam and acceptable for those of you without men, children or animals. My man and doggies would rip this up in 2 seconds flat. A girl can dream though...sigh.
Discoball stairs. Yes. How unique is this??!?! We know you all are not going to go out and recover the backs of your stairs, and we do not want you to. But you have to give props, where props are due.
Woah. Woah. How did she make it in here?!?! What a glam accessory for the home. Do you think this will be Ke$ha in 60 yrs? Who doesn't crave a sequined fanny pack? If you don't, we don't want to know you.

For those of you who are looking to get the subtle glitter look, we have the accessories that will get the job done! Also, some DIY's for your crafters out there. Go insane, go insane. Throw some glitter, make it rain. ~ Ke$ha. Truer words were never been spoken. What a lyricist.

But seriously, I'm sooo going to save this post and glam out some accessories for my dorm!! And I might post about this. And if I continue in my school's student newsletter/news paper I might pass this on to the DIY columnist. I hope that's alright. You have a lovely blog. :] I'm def following now. Have a great week!
