Favorite Room Feature: Effortless Style Blog

Today we have one of my favorite daily go to reads, Effortless Style Blog. Camila has a colorful aesthetic that makes all of her designs easily recognizable. It's all, "Hey! That is a Camila room!" Totally. She has the gift of being able to mix and match patterns and bring life and youth to any space. Not to mention she has the most adorable little one that she now splits her time with. AND she and her husband have their own abstract art business called Him and Her. Go get you some. Camila has decided to let us into her favorite room in her house, the dining room. You will seriously want to sit down and stay awhile. Let's.

Hi all! I am Camila from Effortless Style and could not be more thrilled to be sharing one of my most favorite spaces with you. All of the rooms in my house are my favorite. It's like asking a mother who their favorite child is. I had a hard time picking, but the room that I totally love and don't really want to change a thing in (totally rare for a designer) is my dining room.
Nothing like a before picture of the room. While the room was an empty state we added a folding table and outdoor plastic chairs to the mix to actually use it. So scary! But I love keeping it real so I'm attaching a picture.
My dining room remained empty for over a year when we moved in. I went through 2 dining table options that both arrived at my house and had issues with their finish and needed to be returned. In the end I went with a vintage piece that I got to transform a bit.

Thank you so much for coming into my favorite space!
xoxo Camila!

  4. Your dining room is beautiful. I think my favorite parts are the pillow and greek key pelmet boxes. Thanks for keeping it real, it reminds us all that great rooms take time for EVERYONE, even designers.
