Favorite Room Feature: Main Street Chic

My loves. I am so excited to present today's guest to you all. Girl is not afraid to get her hands dirty on a serious DIY. Girl loves a statement piece. Girl has one of the cutest dogs around (aside from Stella and Billie). And girl is one of the cutest, most adorable bloggers around. Who might you ask? It is Emily from Main Street Chic. One thing that I have had to learn to overlook in our blogging friendship is the fact she is from the STL (I am a KC native). But believe you me, it is worth it. You will love her too!

Hello lovely S&S readers I am Emily from Main Street Chic- I really can’t believe I am sharing my space on this AMAZE blog. Mostly because, there are some things I shudder at. And also because Miss Lindsay shares the most fabulous spaces and am thrilled she would be interested in sharing my favorite space.

So without further ado – here we go!

We moved into our Chouse last year. It is called the Chouse because it is a Church that has been converted into condos. Church + House = Chouse. (note the stained glass and intricate woodwork).

Admittedly, this room is far from done (those palm tree parsons chairs are SCREAMING for a make-over). But for the time we have lived in our Chouse, this is my favorite room. It’s full of DIY projects and vintage finds. But each piece, I love!
A little before shot never hurt anybody.
I am especially proud of our chinoiserie red china cabinet. Which you can read more about here.
As well as my first ever reupholstery project- our Louis chairs.
Did you spot my sweet little angel nugget, Daisy? Love. Of. My. Life.

Our rug was a CraigsList adventure. As was our ‘TV stand’ that is actually a pair of fabulous dressers. From this pic, you can get a better understanding of the super involved architecture of our space. Lots of interesting quirks to work around.
So that’s it! Never completely done and always a work in progress- but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Come visit us at MSC- Daisy and I would love to see you!
Thanks for having me, Lindsay Love! PS- Do we think palm trees EVER going to be ‘in’?!?
Xoxo!
