Deck the Walls

I can't lie to you all. I have not really been in the Christmas spirit this year. At. All. Our house doesn't even have a tree up. Serrsley. Call me un 'Merkin, call me a pagan. It just didn't happen and it's not going to. Judge if you want, but I have been busy, busy and more busy. Since we are due to have holiday guests this Christmas, my family, I have to admit I am a tad embarrassed to be falling so short. One area that I am not lacking in for this holiday season, would be the wreath department. I am not sure how long you all have been following along but last year, I was not soulless, and I really got ambitious and did my own glam pinecone holiday wreath.

So won't you be a pagan like me, and forget the tree and deck those walls? Pretty please?

So this first image. No wreath present. I know. But I love it and I throw all rules out the window. How freaking magical is this space? Had I seen this say 3 weeks ago, it may have sparked some sort of Christmas spirit. Sigh.
Lovely entryway decorated with simple garland and adorned with simple wreaths in multiples. I majorly love that.
Put a wreath over a mirror. Trust me. It looks fabulously chic.
And again. I so told you.

Loving every bit of it.
Talk about magical. This looks like something my girl Tina from Enchanted Home would concoct.
Why not on top of a picture?
So I will share with you the little Christmas spirit our house does happen to have. I had a pastel yellow wood curled wreath that occupied this space. While I did love the shape and style, the color needed some change. I saw that Target is now selling this very same wreath in bright red. So. What did a girl like me do? I spray painted it. Duh. Candy apple red. It looks gorg on our turquoise door.
For those of you who are still looking for that perfect holiday/winter wreath to adorn your doors, walls, windows and mirrors...look no further. I have the perfect solution to deck your walls.

  1. You did enough in my book. Have a cocktail and call it a holiday. This way, there is not much to clean up.

  2. Linds..I was slow to get on board too, but the houseguest deadline this weekend did it for me. I need to revamp my wreaths just about every year. I love the boxwood wreaths, and a minimal look. Happy Holidays dear one.

  5. No judging from me. I find Christmas decorating exhausting. I do need one more wreath, easy to put up-easy to put away, my kind of docorating.

  6. Not judging over here! My tree has been up for 2 weeks but hasn't been decorated, I made an ornament wreath but have yet to hang it. We have both been too busy to get the rest of the decorations out of the attic- so it's pretty pathetic looking around here!

  7. Now I don't feel so bad! Just started this week with decorating and feel so behind everyone else. Love those Lonny images!

  8. It's okay, I'm not judging, because my house has no decorations. Unless you count the Santa toilet seat cover, and that's only because it was a gift (a tacky one at that).

  9. I feel like I always start decorating too late and don't get to enjoy all my decorations, is it ok to start at Halloween? :)

  10. This is the first year I am not putting up a tree- and it isn't bothering me one bit!! I have been spending time looking at pretty decorations and photos (like the ones you posted!) and I'm feeling festive enough :) Just think how ahead of the game we'll be when everyone has to take their tree down!!

  12. I am such a wreath junkie!! It's kind of an obsession. I want those three wreaths in the second image down my front door. Oh, and that entire room in image one!!
