Hi there, Sadie & Stella readers! This is Sam from The Peak of Tres Chic. I am so excited to be here with you today sharing my favorite room. I just adore this series and jumped at the chance to participate myself! My favorite room in my house is my living room.
My living room has hard wood floors and is actually on the second floor of my town-house. I knew I needed to design this room well, because when visitors walk up the stairs it's the first thing they see! I found these antique chairs and clock at a local antique store here in Houston.
I wanted to add in a piece of furniture that was mirrored to create an element of glam in my living room. Still, I wanted to keep the overall shabby chic antique aesthetic. I think this console is the perfect mix of glam and natural elements to work well in the space. My tiny TV is definitely overpowered by the console. I guess you can see where my priorities lie! :)
Thanks for having me today, lovely ladies! I enjoyed showing you my favorite room. I hope you will all stop by The Peak of Tres Chic soon and say "Hi!"
As you can see, I love French furniture. I couldn't pass up this beautiful nailhead wing-back chair when I laid eyed on it at another antique store.
I scored the decorative sun mirrors that sit on top of the console from a sale on
My coffee table displays just a few of my favorite coffee table books. I have large stacks of them in just about every room in my house! That mirrored container is from Anthropologie and stores the TV remotes.
These turquoise leather chairs are my favorite part of this room. I found them at a furniture store and love to display my bengal print pillows on them. They add a pop of color to the overall neutral color scheme.
Here is my couch and side table. I decorated the table with a leopard print lamp and frame. Above the couch is an antique star mirror that reminds me of a ship! And one last look at the living room from above (I took the picture from the stairs)...
