Monday Musings: Oh Suzani, Don't You Cry for Me

My precious darlings. Oh how I missed you. Two days apart, feels like an eternity and as though I am living a life without air. Dramatic? I am just getting my romance ready for you all and the upcoming Hallmark holiday (Valentine's). Are we all in a nacho and beer induced coma this morning? Not this girl. I am proud to say, that the Super Bowl was not even viewed in my house and I will not even know the outcome of the game until I log on to some major news source this morning. #headinthesand. And that is the way I like to play the game. Ummm who played in the Super Bowl? Exactly.

So let's talk suzani. I know that this trend has been around for some time now, but I have to tell you, I am digging it now more than ever. I always like to add some sort of ethnic flair to any space that I design, and this happens to be my newest go to. Blast from the past. There is something so old world and whimsical about this pattern that I find to be oh so perfect on the foot of a bed or on a table. I love it the most when mixed and matched with many other patterns to create the most perfect eclectic aesthetic. Oh Suzani, don't you cry for me, because you are making every space absolutely perfect and full of life.

Just try and tell me this trend is on it's way out the door. Just try. I a.won't believe you and b.might smack you. Love you. Mean it. XOXO

  1. I am so glad you said all this. I still love it, too. I feel like people have forgotten how cool a Suzani print can be.

  6. I really do love this look in all the pics. In Nashville there is a store in the mall called Suzani Styles. Check it out here: http://suzanistyles.com/ you will see why I have a slight aversion to Suzani. They have ruined it for me - Brandy
