Favorite Room Feature: Michaela Noelle Designs

Do you all know Michaela with Michaela Noelle Design? If you do, you know why she is about to be featured. If you do not, shame on you. You know the girls in high school that are all state track, class president and definitely won Miss Congeniality? That is what I picture Michaela being like. Only now in the adult years, she has a serious design aesthetic. Her designs are crisp, airy, clean and feminine and frankly, there is nothing I would rather look at on a Snowmageddon day like today!

Hi hi hi to all you Sadie + Stella lovers! I'm thrilled to be here sharing my newly redesigned bedroom. Last summer I decided it was time for a revamp {and I can never just sit still!}, so I set out to create a stylish, sophisticated and girly bedroom.  The trick? Keeping the cost down so this college girl's wallet didn't get real mad. Here's a bit about what I did...

I refinished the white dresser {a Goodwill find for only $70}, gave the HomeGoods nightstand a fresh coat of dove gray paint, sewed the curtains with my sweet grandma's help using this fabric, and put together a collection of architectural paintings and prints by talented artists for the gallery wall above my desk.  Now when I'm blogging and working on client projects, I have something extra pretty and inspiring to glance up at every once and a while.   As a lover of all things handmade, I made sure to hunt down my favorite etsy shops in order to add some unique pieces to my room.

I'm a firm believer in absolutely adoring the place you call home by filling it with treasures you love and have collected.  I'm also a believer that puppies {namely, my english cream golden retriever} will make you smile almost every time you see them.  Miss Hope is my personal assistant and sometimes we take breaks to read the latest House Beautiful together :) I hope you love my favorite room as much as I do!

  9. A very pretty room but here is my one complaint with posts like this: Where is the dog bed?????? I am sure dog beds don't make a styled room look very professional but what about real life? I have 3 dogs and placement of the dog bed is always a big hurdle when organizing a room. Maybe a good idea for a blog post????

    1. Does this really warrant a blog post? How about throwing a dog bed in the corner of a room? Should you really build the design of a room around a dog bed? Ridiculous concept.

    2. I just thought it would be cool to see different ways people incorporate dog beds into a room

  10. Thanks so much for the sweet feature, Lindsay! Your words made me blush.

@Amy- this bedroom is in my parents house, so Hope sleeps with them in their room. I don't have a dog bed for her in my room :) Her bed is in my parents room...and trust me, toys are everywhere. All. The. Time.

    1. I hope you in no way took offense to my post. The room is very beautiful and you have amazing talent!!!! I was just curious how people incorporate the dog "stuff" into a room when the room is so wonderfully styled. Never meant to imply the room was built around the dog. Trust me, I wish I had even a quarter of your decorating eye. Your hard work paid off, the room is lovely!

  11. Could Michaela be any cuter!??!!?!? OMG and I am dying over her sweet pup/ personal assistant! The colors are so beautiful and I just love the curtains!! I am so impressed that you made them. I am not really sure where the idea that this room was built around your pup came from, but it's beautiful even if it was :) xoxo

    1. Hi! Thank you :) She really is the sweetest dog! I definitely didn't design the room around her, though. She just snuck in for some pictures! That's all :)
