Hello my love muffins! How art thou? As you know, I purchased a house and it has been non-stop ever since. The to-do list is painfully extensive and my patience is quickly being worn down. You all know me. I want it done and I want it done now. Call me Veruca Salt. Let me show you some of the progress that has happened thus far.
Remember how I told you I was certifiably nuts and decided to refinish the floors on my own? Biggest bitch of a DIY but it was so worth it. Look at them now. Clark, she's a beaut.
I know you all were wildly concerned about the baby poop brown walls that were originally in the master bedroom. Have no fear, Palladian Blue saved the day. Don't worry, light fixtures/ceiling fans are coming down as we speak. Thank the lord for handymen.
Guest bedroom in Solitude.
The office in BM's Spring Mint. Remember my plan for a mint and yellow office? Well, it is happening.
So enough with the floor and wall shots. Amirite? My new couch made it and I am quite obsessed, I must say. I was originally worried about the color of the piping and now I cannot imagine it any other way. It is perfect. Just a little styling update of the living room. Much more to come.
One of the most important ladies of the house, Billie, trying out her new couch. She gives it two paws up.
Another living room update. Credenza is here and styled. Would I have it any other way?
Another lovely console. The picture is not doing it justice, just like it adds 10 lbs to the normal adult, it is stealing the pizzazz and color that this console actually has. It is a mustardy yellow with a high lacquer sheen. Done and done. Why do I not have a place for this?!?!
Ok. The find of the century. Yes, I swear this is from Homegoods. I did a double take and then was in a dead sprint to touch this baby. I am going to take a day to cool off on it, as I really do not have a place for it, but I am willing to throw everything away and possibly fashion a wall to give this lovely a home. Can you believe it?
So that is what is up lately. Totally mental and physical exhaustion. Have you all done any fun DIY project or found any goods at the HG lately? Share it all. Loves! xoxo
Your floors are AMAZING! I am inspired!!

Total scores at HomeGoods and I'm dying over the piping on your couch. If I could only go back in time and order my white couch with gray piping.... Time machine anyone?

ReplyDeleteI can't do Homegoods anymore. Know why? Those freaking sticker price tags they put on everything that are impossible to remove. Do they use NASA glue or what??? Love the Griswold reference btw.

Girl, I know your head and body just aches from all this work. But it's already starting to feel worth it, am I right? I'm two years in with un-papered walls and art sitting on the floor because the to-do list has been so long. But I imagine you wake up everyday just like I do, walk around and stare at all that is unfolding because you are making it happen. Love the colors on the wall and those beautiful wood floors!
ReplyDeleteYou worked so hard...you can tell...but boy are you going to enjoy it now...the fruits of your labor! COngrats! and I love the sofa and am loving all the styled pieces already. Virtual high fives friend. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow, Lindsay ~ you are whipping that place into fabulous shape in no time! After seeing this it will take all the willpower I have not to make a HomeGoods detour today!
ReplyDeleteWow wow wow. Your new place is coming together so quickly and so GORGEOUS..ly. I love every bit of it. I hope you bought that green console! It's amaze. Also, the piping on your sofa, what a dream! I want to buy a house now :(

ReplyDeleteIn love with that artwork from HG. It would fit in perfectly in my bedroom. Heading over tomorrow to check my local store and see if they have it!
YOU DID THE FLOORS YOURSELF!?? Amazing!!! Gosh I should take notes from you! I'm awful about doing anything on my own. The paint looks so fresh and pretty. I'm dying over Billie. That is exactly how Pickles, our dog sleeps on our couches. He has ruined the pillows. haha! Great job!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the painting! Is it a real painting or a giclee?
ReplyDeleteOh my, I haven't checked in in a couple of days ... you have been one BUSY Woman!! Everything is looking fabulous!! xo
ReplyDeleteWow Lindsay, you have been soooo busy and it is so worth it from our end, too! Your wall colors are amazing, and I love the floors and all you've done. I love that last art piece as well. It looks like a framed scarf or textile.
ReplyDeleteTake a breather, you look way ahead of schedule for a new home!
