Summer Series: Fashion Staples

I am totally anticipating the heat wave. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. The temperature has been beyond moderate here and also includes a daily shower, that often times I think that I actually reside in the Pacific Northwest. Never thought I would be asking for heat and humidity. Let's get it right. I am not. Heat yes. My hair says no to drugs and humidity. However, Summertime fashion is FINALLY here. I have a few must have staples for my Summer wardrobe, if it ever becomes warm enough to follow through. Just as a note, when it becomes hotter than hell next week, I will be complaining. I like a steady 75 degree with lots of sun. Not 74. Not 76. 75. I do not negotiate. On that perfect summer day, here is what I will be sporting. 

Maxi dresses! Ahhh. I just bid on a DVF maxi scarf dress on Ebay recently and lost last night by $2.15 due to my slumber. I am pissed. Sleep is becoming overrated, especially if it makes me lose out on DVF.  I am now on the hunt for more of this perfect piece to add to my wardrobe.

Every girl needs a perfect pair of sexy, sophisticated shorts for Summer. Grease and oil those legs up like a Thanksgiving Day turkey to elongate the look. It's hot.

So this has been a favorite trend of mine for many, many seasons. Pattern play, y'all. I adore mixing stripes with damask. Stripes with aztec. Plaid with stripes. You name it. I do it. Such a rebel.

Oh and my girl Courtney over at A Little Glass Box and her crafty self, fashioned a beach bag for your Summer fashion staples. That girl is so talented it makes me want to vom. I mean that in the most endearing way Courtney! She could take a blanket and make it into and airplane. I am confident in saying. 

Next week is the last and final week of our Summer Series and for the grand finale, a DIY is happening. I better bring my A game. Loves!
