Friday. Friday. Here we are. I have had a freaking crazy week and could not be more grateful for the arrival of the weekend. Have you all heard about the fruit infused waters that are out on the street? It sounds so illegal and forbidden when I refer to it in that way. What can I say? I love danger. Anyway, the infused waters are beyond refreshing, amazing and healthful. Some even claim to bring weight loss and serve as a cleanse. Well I am not going to make that outrageous claim with my Strawberry Lemon Basil Infused Water, but I will claim that mine is freaking unbelievable. Hold me to it.
Ingredients:
2 Lemons
8 Strawberries
A handful of Basil Leaves
Water
Directions:
Slice lemons. Quarter strawberries. Tear basil leaves. Add ingredients to pitcher with ice and water. Refrigerate for an hour.
Drink and repeat.
What is on the agenda for you dolls this weekend? Do not forget that tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of the S+S Super Summer Sale where you get 25% off of all design packages (local and e-design). Do not miss out! Love you loves!
pure deliciousness. Lets make some and drink it tomorrow at 12:05 when you're released back into the world of the non-studying!
ReplyDeleteno. no. no. we will be drinking strawberry lemon basil infused 100 proof at 12:05 tomorrow. You can count on that, sister.
DeleteLooks good. I'm going to make this tomorrow for our summer kick-off party! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI must make this. I have infusing on the mind because I just tore out an article on how to make cantelope and mint infused vodka. Because infused liquor is way better than infused water for shizzle! But I would drink that water during the day!
ReplyDeleteNow that is a recipe I can follow!
ReplyDeleteoooh that looks right up my alley. last year, we had run out of a pre-made cocktail at a night at our house with friends, so i ran and picked some basil out of the garden, thru in some gin and lemonade and poured the mix over some fresh strawberry jam and it was wonderful. a bit sweet, but wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty and sounds awesome. I will now be making this for a little luncheon I am having next week! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYummmm! That sounds tasty. Anything to get me to drink more water!! :)
ReplyDeleteLet's make a deal. You can drink the infused water and I'll take that Shock Top sitting in the back of the fridge. Don't want that poor beer to feel neglected while the water gets all the attention, do we? :)
ReplyDeletei'm a sucker for anything basil..i'll have to try this!
ReplyDeleteYour drinks look so fresh and summery! I'm glad that strawberries are coming back into season.
ReplyDeleteTo create portable infused water, you should check out Zing Anything, a company I do marketing for. They have citrus and fruit Zingers, which are sort of like the pitcher you mentioned, but in water bottle (portable) size! www.zinganything.com
ReplyDeleteThe last time I made lemon and strawberry water, the water turned red. Is there a secret to keep the water from turning red?
ReplyDeleteDid you smash the strawberries? How long did you let it sit? I had mine in the refrigerator for 2 days at least and it was completely clear. Make sure the strawberries are fresh. Let me know how it goes!
DeleteHi! I am very interested in if you have a lot of visitors of this blogging resource?
ReplyDeleteIt's really good I was working for Cirque du Soleil in the VIP tent and made it for the guest they really enjoyed it and it was the only thing I couldn't keep in stock.
