Monday Musings: Staffordshire Dogs

Larvelies. How art thou? Anyone who knows me, knows that I live and breathe for dogs. Dogs of any kind, really. When I recently stumbled across the Staffordshire dog statues that have trail blazed their way through the interior design world, I decided to add those dogs to my love list as well. I mean why not? I am a chinoiserie girl at heart, and these ceramic pooches add just that to any space. Muse with me.

What do we think kitty cats? Are we smitten as a kitten? Or maybe that is an oxymoron since we are speaking about the dog. Are you musing with me or what? Love you. Mean it.

  5. I think I have wanted a pair of Staffordshire dogs for 20 years. I don't know why I still don't have them. They are even cuter in a modern mix than with the British Granny look.

  6. I love them!! They are too cute, and that coming from a cat lover (although I do adore dogs as well). I also really want a ceramic parrot. Weird maybe, but I'm on the hunt!

  7. Love the colors in #4. I have been obsessing over getting a pup but maybe just some dog decor will do until I make the jump?

  14. Love this post! I just got a pair of Staffordshires (replicas) for my fireplace. And a giant ceramic poodle. So I'm all about the dogs, too. Now if only I can find some French Bulldog chic, I'll be a happy girl!
