Larvelies. How art thou? Anyone who knows me, knows that I live and breathe for dogs. Dogs of any kind, really. When I recently stumbled across the Staffordshire dog statues that have trail blazed their way through the interior design world, I decided to add those dogs to my love list as well. I mean why not? I am a chinoiserie girl at heart, and these ceramic pooches add just that to any space. Muse with me.
What do we think kitty cats? Are we smitten as a kitten? Or maybe that is an oxymoron since we are speaking about the dog. Are you musing with me or what? Love you. Mean it.

Yes, totally smitten love those little porcelain doggies. The white are my favorite so chic.
ReplyDeleteI love it also.
DeleteLove them, they are so charming, timelessly classic and beautiful...so glad that they are having a "design resurrection" love it! I have three pair..and theres plenty of room for more:)
ReplyDeleteBig fan of the white ones. I love the way ones tucked into the bookshelf!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute! Love that gold end table with the glass top too!
ReplyDeleteI think I have wanted a pair of Staffordshire dogs for 20 years. I don't know why I still don't have them. They are even cuter in a modern mix than with the British Granny look.
ReplyDeleteI love them!! They are too cute, and that coming from a cat lover (although I do adore dogs as well). I also really want a ceramic parrot. Weird maybe, but I'm on the hunt!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in #4. I have been obsessing over getting a pup but maybe just some dog decor will do until I make the jump?
ReplyDeleteNo such thing as too many dogs...especially the kind that last forever.
ReplyDeleteLove, love...I need some little ones now. My hubby gave me the medium sized ones which I'm in love with, but now I think they need little friends no?? Lusting over that tablescape!xx
ReplyDeleteOh my! I saw the first image from Lonny the other day! Gillians Zabra fabric and Staffordshire dogs, in LOVE!! great pics!

I can never decide! They are sort of old lady to me but also chic at the same time. Like needlepoint. I think I like!
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to figure a way to get these in my life asap. Anything dog related is a yes in my book.
ReplyDeleteYour Lonny pic caught my eye (I'm a HUGE fan of Eddie Ross), and I'm so glad I found your blog! I love it so much I added you to my blog roll, and I'm also your latest Twitter and FB follower. :) XOXO, The Glam Pad
ReplyDeleteSmitten for sure!!! xo
ReplyDeleteLove this post! I just got a pair of Staffordshires (replicas) for my fireplace. And a giant ceramic poodle. So I'm all about the dogs, too. Now if only I can find some French Bulldog chic, I'll be a happy girl!
ReplyDeleteI grew up with these in our library. I love them so much. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Love little dogs in interiors, especially when they're real and cute and fluffy. We have an english cream golden retriever puppy and I am obsessed with her, it's true :)

ReplyDeleteI love these as well! I have a pair of chinoiserie blue and white ones...sadly back stateside in storage for now. That storage unit is going to be like Christmas for me when we move back home! I miss all my goodies!
