Monday Musings: A Finished Wallpapered Dining Room and Our Weekend

My dear, dear, dear lovelies. How are you? I hope you had a fabulous weekend doing whatever you do. Today I am flipping the script. We will muse about the insanely productive weekend I had. Tomorrow we will muse about our normal impossible spaces. Deal? So one thing is for sure this weekend, I was not a liar. I told you all we were going to wallpaper, and wallpaper we did. I have to hand it to the boy. His initial reaction was to hire someone to do this, but after our finished result we thought to ourselves, why? I mean do not get me wrong, the pattern was a mother to line up, continue on and size up but if law doesn't work out for him, S+S will hire him. You feel me? So I am not going to give everything away to you all, as I am a bit of a tease. You can get a little bitty taste though.
Isn't the wallpaper insane? We are beyond obsessed. For those of you who are interested, it is Sherwin Williams Easy Change Wallpaper, Style #SW8EG5315. Things missing: chandy to be hung, table lamps and some accessories. I have to tell you. I found awesome table lamps on Craigslist for a steal. The catch? Pretty sure they were luring me there to make a lampshade out of me. What a drag. The pieces to the puzzle were not adding up. 1. The address would not come up on my GPS. 2. The seller could not describe to me the location to which she lives in. The descriptives I got were "in the woods" and "off a windy dirt road." No. Thank. You. 3. She could not meet me in a public location because she doesn't have a car. 4. She did not know the price listed on the post and when I asked if she wanted me to send her the link, she said she didn't have the internet. 5. She finished off saying her name was Joyful. I felt like I was being messed with, honestly. Shady, shade. When things sound to good to be true, they generally are. So for the sake of me being alive to produce a post for you muffins this morning, I decided to turn a good deal down and keep my skin. On a brighter note, isn't Jackie O looking hot?
A little close up of our bar area. Need a few more staples such as high balls, some bourbon and whiskey (pronounced "hwwwiskey"). I should have drank more of this, this weekend.
Another little find I snagged up this weekend. You know all know I adore Asian accents in my home. This pot is no exception. You will never guess where I snagged this amazing find. Ross. $17.99. And I didn't almost get killed for the deal. Plus.
Other parts of my weekend, fabric swatches for multiple clients homes.
New guest soaps for our guests next weekend. We haven't seen them for months and it is going to be the perfect weekend to drink, lounge, eat and be merry.
I told y'all we were twerking some fig infused vodka. Well here she is. In all of her glory. Day 3 she sits at. I will tell you, the end product is going to produce a major cocktail. Major.
And if you forgot Stella's usual demeanor, here it is in full force. Her pouting most of yesterday due to the lack of attention she was getting since we were wallpapering HER dining room. Let's face it, Stella insists on a perfectly wallpapered space. My hell.

So there you have it. My weekend in one post flat. I have to say, what we lacked in rest this weekend, we made up for in productivity. How did you spend your weekend? Tell it to the judge, loves!

  15. Yikes, I always have a moment or 2 of panic re: craigslist sellers. I insist on meeting them in small, busy public parking lots. When I'm selling, I keep my German Shepherd at my side. On a lighter note, the wallpaper is pretty and I'm especially loving the Ross planter! You can find cool stuff there!

But truly that wallpaper looks divine. oh and and props on trusting your gut on those lamps. I've seen the Lifetime movies that end not so good... they generally start off with a facebook or craigslist pst. eek!
