Favorite Room Feature: Interioriented

Hello my dears. We have a very special and lovely guest today that is so graciously letting us peep into her home. We are so nosy, aren't we? Adair from Interioriented is sharing her favorite space, which would be her dining room. First of all, Adair is hilarious. We all know how humor is my first requirement in ANY relationship. Second of all, Adair has such a fun and collected way about her. Old and new, funky and traditional, leopard and Asian. Ok so maybe those are not exact opposites, but that would be one thing that Adair and I do share, a love for Asian touches in any space. Anyhow, I will shut up so we can actually look at Adair's space. Also, if you get a chance, run over and tell Adair Congratulations. She is getting married this weekend! Ok. Now I will shut up.

Hello Sadie + Stella readers, I'm Adair from Interioriented. First of all, I want to thank Lindsay for inviting me to share my favorite room; I am beyond honored! Second, my camera is extremely hi-tech, I use an iphone with the aperture set to instagram. And third, my nuptials are less than two weeks away hence all of the marriage comments. Here are a few pictures of my somewhatofa Dining Room.
I've been incorporating my unused furniture from my cottage into my fiance's house so that come post-honeymoon I'm not completely overwhelmed. I whelm easily. This room was the easiest and the first because he had no dining room and I had the furniture, perfect match. This room was his hallway/living room/nap cave with a giant leather sofa and 4 too many club chairs. All it needs is a little paint and maybe some creative carpentry. I really, really want a chair rail and some grasscloth for a wedding present. Fingers crossed.
The "good" side of the room.
I have not had the chance to invest as a "we" house yet, that will come. The wingback chairs were inherited from my grandmother and re-covered in a tone on tone leopard. Also from my hip grandmother are the chinoiserie cabinets that I have pushed together to form a sideboardish piece. The dining room table was a freebie acquired from a recent renovation project. It will be painted red (me) or stained a dark wood tone (future husband).
Up close and personal of the sideboardish.
Cleverly placed tray covers globs of paint from previous owners.

My favorite piece, seen in the corner. This cupboard from India was recently purchased at Design Workshop Inc.'s warehouse sale in Warsaw, NC. It's my cabinet of natural curiosities. And, this is my favorite room thus far, with lots of improvements to come! Thank you so much for having me Lindsay! I'd love to come back and share more once I attack the "we" house full force!

  6. Yay! Seriously, love Adair. She has amazing taste and she is a whiz with a tape measure. She figured out the cabinets for our kitchen. I love getting to see your house and cannot wait to see more once you are all married and settled. Hope this weekend is perfect!
