monday musings: serious settees. no, seriously.

We are seriously obsessed with seating, as of late. Chairs, couches, name it. But what we have on our mind this fine Monday morning, are settees. A settee is essentially a couch, but with a french name and a fancier twist. It is usually a two person love seat often times adorned with a refined and elegant wood frame. With the proper fabric, this seating is sure to wow.

Here are some amazing settees that we have seen around the world wide web. We are loving them all. From patterns, to solid colors, to textures, to different rooms...I think we have it all covered.

Alice Lane. What would we do without you in the design world? I do not want to know. This sunburst mirror is the most. We love the metallics mixed with the gorgeous organic feel of the settee. Do not even get me started on that pouf. My word.
This room has so many color schemes happening and yet, it is completely cohesive. The fabric on the settee is in a world of its own but blends all of the other elements back together.
We love the use of essentially two palettes here, turquoise and white. The intended understatement of this room makes it wow. So gorg. What about the quatrefoil back of that chair? Sold.
Beautiful. So simple and so fresh.
The drama of this room is to die for. The chocolatey walls. The peacock. This room is so rich.

Great use of color in a clean space. Lots of pops of brights in a white space.
This will be my library some day. It must be. Love the stripes. So stately.

Animal fur, on a neutral settee? Yes. Please. Now.

Jenny, over at the Little Green Notebook, recovered her settee in the oh so famous Chaing Mai Schumacher print. Fab. ulous. I don't know if I will ever be sick of this print. Ever.

Holy closet. Ummm. Seriously. Who doesn't want a closet large enough to include seating? Let alone a settee.
Glammy glam. I also spy a juju hat. This monochromatic room is ah-mazing. They relied on textures and variations of the cream color scheme to enhance the richness of the room. Lovely.
On the horizon this week: Very special giveaway later today (stay tuned), some fun finds from our shopping ventures this weekend and an amazing guest post from the talented Kristy at Hyphen Interiors. So, so busy folks. We are extremely excited.
