A client's completed kitchen

I know you all begged for more shots of completed projects and that is what you all are getting. I tell ya. This client of mine can execute a plan like you would not believe, which is important in an e-design project. I could not be more obsessed with the after product if I tried. I mean can we agree on that?
So here is what we started with. We ended up swapping out the roman shade for a brighter and more punchy combo, which my client made on her own. I wouldn't lie to you.
And here is what we ended up with.

I mean what do we think, loves? I think she could not have pulled things together better if she tried. Totally an inspirational kitchen to cook and gather in. As a disclaimer, there were a lot of blood sweat and tears in the making of that roman shade but looking at the after, it was so worth it.

  3. I adore that window valance, just saying. I think that the color in the kitchen is unexpected, so it really works. I agree with Sam! Perfect mixing of elements.

  5. I'm far from an expert, but I am a fan of the shade and the industrial chairs. Also, the window valance seems to really open the room. First time visiting!

  9. Dying to know how your client got the print of the ginger jar to hand on a tiled wall!

  14. Ahhh, love, love, love everything about it! This kitchen is actually a very good friend of mine from college and I can personally attest to the trouble that roman shade gave her. Her sweat and tears were certainly worth it though.. so gorgeous!

  15. What a gorgeous space! Of course I love that roman shade, but for some reason I am kind of obsessed with the simple white panels in there! Just the right amount of softness, great job!!! On another note, I think we may have some mutual friends--I used to live in Richmond. Do you know Jennifer Walker? She introduced me to your blog and here's another funny connection--one time you featured a dining room tour of another Richmond blogger (Richmond Thrifter I think?) and get this: her bamboo dining chairs originally belonged to me :) Well, sort of. I bought them off CL, Jennifer Walker bought them from me, and then your friend bought them from Jennifer. Ah, it all comes back to Craigslist, right?! have a great day!

  18. This is lovely and you did a beautiful job. Love the mix of traditional with more industrial pieces and also the contrast between the darker cabinets and the lighter finishes in the room. I am really digging all the chairs and the roman shade too. xxoo
