DIY Luggage Rack for the Hostess with the Mostess

The holidays are more than quickly approaching. You know what that means, out of town guests. Yes, my darlings.  A guest room should be equipped with a few key essentials for your friends and family. Number one on that list? A bottle of booze to make it through holiday family functions. I am so kidding. (Not really). One of my musts would be a luggage rack. I have to tell you, I have scoured high and low for one of these babies and I have to tell you, they are not cheap. The cheapest one I ever found was $150. No lie. Until, I recently went to a local estate sale. Hello $6.00. Holllllaaaaarrrr. It needed some major TLC but this is where she is now.
What do you think? Here are her humble beginnings. Rough. I mean that is definitely a brown bagger. Definitely.
So it went from that up there, to this below by using this pink and black trim and a can of black lacquer spray paint.
Let me remind you again. I think it is the perfect piece for this guest bedroom suite.
My girl Jessica from The Aestate has also outlined the musts for any cozy guest room. Things missing: Booze and Xanax. Key essentials folks. Is this not the cutest checklist? Love that Jessica.

So there you have it. Moral of the story: find yourself a luggage rack for $6.00, then find yourself some perfect adornment and give that baby a makeover. Loves! XOXO

  5. I have one that was passed down from my grandmama. There is very little that was kept from her sweet, humble home but saw how it found it's way to me, and I am so glad! But, I think it needs a makeover!

  15. Keep the sacrifices they've made in mind, and take the time to embrace the understanding of how much these people must love you to have traveled so far for your wedding. Meredith's mother suffered from Alzheimer's in prior seasons. 4.
