Hail Caesar Salad and Happenings

My loveliest of lovelies. It is Friday! Hallelujah, rejoice etc. What do we have planned this weekend? I have a few DIY's up my sleeve. Which I know you all might be falling out of your chair right now because it has been a long cool and tepid minute (as opposed to a hot minute) since I have showcased one of those. Oy. As you all know, I was the traveling gnome for the month of August. Welp, you can guess what kind of effect that had on my diet. Therefore, ergo, in conclusion, I am on a serious, serious low carb diet. I know some people do not agree with the low carb diet, but it is what works best for me always. The difficulty in all of that, is that we do not eat a ton of meat around here. So the solution? Oodles and oodles of salads.

I know I have spoken about my mom before and the fact that she is beyond fabulous, but what I didn't mention is that a top restaurant should employ her for the task of crafting salad dressings from scratch. Growing up, we never had bottled salad dressing, ever. That has continued and remained true in my household as well. While my creations are no where near her level, I get an A for effort. Today I am sharing with you, my absolute most favorite dressing out of all of her dressings, the caesar salad dressing. I shall call it, the Hail Caesar Salad. Once you have this caesar, you will not go back to the standard creamy caesar. This I can assure you.
Hail Caesar Salad
Ingredients
Dressing
1/2 C Olive oil
1/4 C Red Wine Vinegar
1 T Mustard Powder
1 T Worchesthire
2 Garlic Cloves
Hefty squirt of Anchovy Paste
Squeeze of Lemon
Salt and Pepper to taste
Salad
Romaine Lettuce
Dry Parmesan Cheese
Hail Caesar Salad Dressing

Directions
Mix all ingredients for dressing together. Chop romaine lettuce for the salad. Generously apply dry parmesan cheese and fresh cracked pepper. Toss salad in Hail Caesar Salad dressing.

Done!  I am all about the simple tasks when it comes to at home cooking. So what else is new around here? Hmmm. I will let you in on some news that I am quite thrilled about. I was featured in a top 15 list of interior designers that will redecorate your house remotely on iVillage. I mean, this girl is excited. Lemme tell ya.
As they say, there is no news, like late news, you can find me in the August Society Social Magalog showcasing two ways, indoor and outdoor, to style their Beverly Collection Lounge Chair.
 Here is the indoor look.
I must share with you, my bargain basement deal of the week. Honestly, this set the tone for my Wednesday, and after landing this, the sky could have been falling and I would have found a way to deal. All you need are clothes, as the Beatles once sang. Some background, I had been desperately pining away for a statement cape coat for the Winter but didn't want to drop 600 bones on something. Enter amazing deal from Asos and Halston Heritage. You heard me. Halston Heritage. I am a smitten kitten over this find. Nevermind that it is still 90+ degrees around here still, I will be sweatin' to the oldies in this number.
Tonight, we are headed to the art show of a dear friend of mine, Lindsay Cowles. I cannot wait to see what she has been cooking up in her kitchen (ahem gallery). As you can see, she has added many new pieces to her repertoire. I have to get in on this. I will have a full report of all of her paintings that you just might need.
Well dolls, there you have it. I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend. What are you getting into? You know I am nosy. Loves!
