S+S chow: winter salad

After the holidays and birthdays {read: too much chocolate fudge cake}! My body has been craving something fresh and healthy. This salad was just what I was looking for! Quick and delicious, the only thing I did different was sub almond pieces for the walnuts. Totally amazing. Happy Friday lovesies!! Enjoy the weekend! I know we will!



winter detox superfood salad {via yummy mummy}
ingredients:
1 small bunch broccoli, raw or quickly blanched 
2 tangerines, peeled and segments separated, plus 1 for dressing
1 pomegranate, seeded
1/4 cup shaved or thinly sliced fennel
1 avocado, sliced
1/4 cup walnut pieces
extra virgin olive oil 
directions:
Toss first 6 ingredients together in a medium bowl.
Drizzle olive oil and juice of one tangerine over salad.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  1. This looks and sounds sooo good and the fact that its healthy gives it major brownie points (sorry for bringing the B word up..believe me I feel your pain)!
