The Peak of Tres Chic

Hi lovelies!  Sam here, from The Peak of Très Chic.  I am honored to be posting on Sadie+Stella, although I wish I could be with my girl Lindsay while she is on vacay.  Isn't she fabulous?!

Today, I wanted to show you a cheery, colorful living room that I recently fell in love with, and a way to recreate the look in your own space inexpensively.  I spotted this room in the September 2012 Canadian House & Home issue:

This room creates such an airy, bright, and welcoming vibe that I feel is very achievable.  Keep the larger pieces a neutral color, and add in color through a vibrant kilam rug, throw pillows, and coffee table books.  One element of the room that I adore is the hot pink curtain rod- such a cool, unexpected color!  This can be easily DIY-ed:  Go buy plastic tubing from your local hardware store and spray paint it hot pink.  Tada!  You now have a very cool curtain rod.  Here's how to recreate the other elements in the room:

What do you think?  Do you like the bright accessories?
Thanks for having me, Lindsay!  I hope you will all stop by The Peak of Très Chic and say "Hi!" XOXO, Sam
