Good morning loves! How was your weekend? I have to tell you, I missed you like crazy. Cray-zay. I am sure the feeling is mutual. So today I am discussing our beloved fireplaces. Or mantels if you will, and I will. I honestly think people feel that mantels are one of the most difficult areas to adorn in their home and I can see why one would feel that way. It is a focal point of the space and the dimension is somewhat challenging. My best words of advice? Whatever you do, keep it unique. Vary the scale, use odd numbers and stack. There is my two cents. Take it or take it.

love these pics....I have to say my mantle is one of the things I'm most proud of in my home! I love how it came out....and haven't changed it in 7 years!

ReplyDeleteMantels always stump me. As you saw in Oklahoma. I definitely like to add symmetrical height to mine through tall vases on each side or plants/flowers. Good inspiration here my doll.

Mantle can definitely be challenging but I think it's kind of like bookshelf styling...all about the scale and balancing things out! Loving all of your inspiration pics!
