Seriously, folks. The lone sisterhood of the traveling Lindsay over here, or something like that. Give me a break. We will get back to it soon enough. This is pretty much me, only sans the red lipstick. Sorry, not sorry, ladies. I can't get on board.

A traditional sitting room
Well y'all, I am going to keep it short and sweet today as I am on the road again. Today I am sharing one of my latest designs for a repeat customer. She is so fabulous. We are just moving our way through each and every space of her home. This space was originally intended to be an office for her husband, but we refocused and decided to make this a sitting room. Now. That being said, we still went along with her husband's aesthetic for the space. He was totally digging greens, traditional accents and an overall masculine feel for the space. I honestly cannot wait for the implementation of this one as I think it is going to be incredible. What say you?

Monday Musings: The Colored Sofa
My darlings, if I were to say that I missed you, I would be lying entirely because it would the understatement of the century. My heart pretty much stopped when we were separated. I mean I could almost have lived during the Shakespeare era, right? No, but in all seriousness, I know I am in the dog house with y'all from my unmentioned departure. I was testing for work, and life got in the way. What can I say? Forgive me? I thought you might.
Today I am talking about the colored sofa. Oooohhh and ahhhhhh. I am in the midst of several living room designs for my clients and the colored sofa has my mind running a million miles a minute. While some never thought of this to be the clear choice in recent years, it now is. And let me tell you something, really holds up to all of those sticky icky fingers you people with children endure (I just have muddy paws). I am loving the couch as the focal point to the space. It is unexpected and artistic and I think you should get on board.

Dorm Room Style with Crane & Canopy
Gone are the days where you buy a subpar bed in a bag to take to adorn your college dorm room. I mean, talk about killing your reputation showing up with a pillow, a poster and a hand me down blanket. Kids are bringing interior design into the dorm room. Who would have thought? As I mentioned earlier this week, myself and some talented bloggers were challenged to put together a design board using the same bedding, but adding in our own accessories. I mean so chic. Here is what I came up with for my "dorm room" if I weren't way past my college years. Sigh.
Get the look: Art / Noe Blue Duvet / Rug / Lamp / Side Table / Lumbar / Velvet Throw Pillows / Candle / Pouf
If you cannot get enough of this dorm room styling, check out what these other lovely ladies have in store for you this week. Isn't it fun to feel young again?

Designer Crush: Dalliance Design
Do y'all know Dalliance Design? I had the pleasure of coming across them some time ago, but they just recently released their portfolio. And let me tell you something, it is the ish. Their talent level and attention to color, detail and texture is next to none. These gals are not afraid of a bold pattern or an unusual one of a kind fabric and we all know that is the way to my heart. Check them out.

Monday Musings: Hermes
What up y'all? Did we have a good weekend? I spent mine celebrating the engagement of one of my besties ever, the lovely Sam from Peak of Tres Chic. I had the absolute best time with her and her family in OKC. If you follow me on Insta you already know the haps of our weekend. If you don't, get it together.
So today I am crushing on the most luxe of the luxe...Hermes. Duh. Can you get anymore glam than that? So I will admit, I have crushed on an Hermes tray a time or two, but my craving is back in a very big way. That Hermes orange (yes, they have their own orange) tray with the black adornment is too much for this little heart. Might need a defibrillator for all of these images. Just a disclaimer. Be still my heart.
I mean, is your obsession revitalized like mine? Help me lawwwwwddd.
So another thing to discuss with y'all. I will be participating in a super fun Dorm Room series with Crane & Canopy this week with some other lovely bloggers: Camila with Effortless Style, Gabby with Savvy Home, Carmel with Our Fifth House and Lindsay from the Pursuit of Style. We all are taking identical bedding and building a room around it with our very own personal style. It should be pretty major. First on the list is Camila. Check her room out today. I will be up on Wednesday so do not break my heart and miss it. Love you. Mean it. XOXO

Fall Style Staples
Don't we all love fall? And don't we all love a staple? You know what kind of staple I mean. So the weather here is bi-polar. For weeks I felt like we were falling right into fall and now we are back to 90 degree temps and humidity. Get your act together Mother Nature. That being said, fall is right around the corner in all actuality, which is beyond exciting for me. There is nothing like buying a new wardrobe for a season and the transition between summer and fall is probably the largest. I like to call it my "back to school" shopping, even though I have been out of school for 8 years...That is neither here nor there. I mean why should kids get to have all of the fun?
So what is on my list for "back to school" shopping? I thought you would never ask. I think we all need a statement blazer, a major leather jacket, striped everything and a tassel bag. I mean these are just my predictions and suggestions, folks. Do what you will with them but I am convinced these are going to be the "it" fall staples.

Home Decorators Giveaway!
I am not sure if you all remember the amazing sofa I scored at a ridiculous deal from Home Decorators. Major piping and major style. I wish they still sold this pieces so y'all could get your grubby little hands on it. Alas, they do not. However, Home Decorators is one of my jams, and major go tos as far as decor goes. That being said, they are giving $150 away to one lucky S+S reader. Oooohhh and ahhhhh. Y'all are so lucky sometimes I cannot even stand it.
In the spirit of this monumental event, I thought the only thing that would be appropriate here would be a design board around some of my favorite Home Decorators pieces. I know! Monochromatic?? So not me. What can I say? I was feeling spiritual and calm.
Get it: Sofa / Mirrors / Rug / Nailhead side table / Lamp / Quatrefoil Pillow / Scallop Pillow

Monday Musings: Major Dining Rooms
Hey ladies! What up y'all? Did you all have a wondrous and merry weekend? I don't know about you, but I am really anticipating that 3 day weekend that is upon us in a few weeks. I am still feeling slightly under the weather and an extra day of sleep could have really done me some good. I will tell you, that in addition to getting my rest on this weekend, some things got done around the house. As I mentioned, my handyman and I patched things up and we are making sweet design music together again. Reunited and it feels so good. If you follow me via Instagram, you are already aware of the dining room install that is taking place. It is major y'all. Cannot wait to give the final reveal. Stay tuned.
So in the spirit of major dining rooms, I say we take a look at a few that may be aesthetically pleasing. What say you? These are in no particular order or design category. Actually, they are all across the board as to why I like them. What is their common denominator? They are oh so maj.
And in for a sneak peek of my dining room that is currently under construction. I mean just look at the millwork, peeps. Do we love? I just sit and admire on the reg.
