Monday Musings: Sally Wheat Interiors

Happy Monday, y'all! Are you all well rested and ready to tackle the week? How is this for a pep talk this morning?? I do what I can. Fake it til you make it. Hope y'all had a great and productive weekend. I mean, there were some lows of my weekend (like Mizzou getting their ass handed to them by the Hoosiers. Say whaaaatttt?) but all in all, I got my business together. Major travel on the horizon, so you will be catching me from different locales and time zones. K? See you there.

So today I am talking about one of my more serious girl crushes, Sally Wheat. Girl has got it going on. One thing I love about every space she touches is that it is completely different than the next. There is always a hint of her touches in every finished design, but each has its own story and flava. No matter how neutral the palette, girlfriend adds a pop of color (after my own heart). I am swooning over all of her latest and I know you will be as well. Check it.

A space I am crushing: Get the look

You guys. A little about what has been up with me. I have been getting into shape, which is easily the most torturous act one can ever commit to. I mean my abs are so sore that it is physically painful to laugh. For those of you who know me, I laugh. A lot. Mostly at people, but I cannot help it. So basically I am being punished for something I find great joy in. Hmmmm. Is being fit truly worth it? Jury is out for me, folks. Couple that with clean eating/Paleo, mama is in her own personal hell. Give me a few weeks, I will come around. I am skeptical...

So something that is TOTALLY delightful is this room below. I snagged this a few weeks back and cannot get over the chicness of the space. It's all boho glam and I am all oooooohhhhh and aaaahhhhh. I am not generally one for purple hues, but this space is making purple feel all kinds of right, and not in a Barney sort of fashion. I mean if anyone can take a lilac space and not make it overly girly, you are a decorating genius.  So bravo. Standing ovation.
You know I had to. Get the look for your fabulous selves.

Making your home, Home Goods Happy

So. Remember back in the day (a few short weeks ago) when I told you about the HomeGoods Happy campaign I was partaking in? Home Goods gave me a gift card to share with someone special in my life. The task was to touch one of their spaces and make it Home Goods happy. So who better to choose, than one of my very best friends, Erica. Lucky for me, the girl already has FABULOUS taste and only needed a few minor tweaks to make her space (the sunroom) Home Goods happy. My favorite thing about Home Goods is the amazing price points for designer pieces. Decorate your home for half the price of retail. Talk about happy. I am thrifty, peeps! So armed with the gift card, we selected a slew of things to put the finishing touches on her space. I am totally digging it.
From: Home Goods
Pillows
Coffee Table Tray
Blue and white accessories
Picture Frame

One thing I love about going to my friend's houses and helping them decorate, is taking already there pieces and repurposing the items in different spaces. For instance, this bamboo side table was in her basement and we brought it up to create more table space for guests. I mean instant glamour, amirite?

I mean, who doesn't need a little blue and white to jazz up their bar? You guessed it. Home Goods. A fully decorated bar adorned with all of the necessary accouterments (every type of booze), is enough to make ANYONE happy.
From Home Goods:
Bone inlaid bucket and bar set? Bingo.
Trays
Black and white bar towel
Blue and white accessories
Not only is my girlfriend Home Goods happy, but so am I because I can enjoy this space every time I come over to kick it. Time to play bartender, my happy place.
