A DIY worth doing: Pom Pom throw

So I tripped across a super chic DIY that requires absolutely no artistic talent or execution.  Can you handle cutting trim and hot gluing it to a throw blanket? Yeah. That is what I thought. Totally up our alley. Thanks to Sugar & Cloth for putting a DIY in layman's terms. Your consideration is much appreciated. But in all seriousness, how cute is this?

What has been up

So I am here to share a short (exhaustively lengthy) synopsis of what has been up in this little life of mine. First on the docket? Lots of client installs. I have been working my tail off on the amazing spaces for my amazing clients. Different styles, aesthetics and regions all over da place and I am loving them all. Need help on your space? Email inquiries to sadieandstella@gmail.com. I will fix you right up. First up, the mid-century modern glamour pad.
The eclectic, pattern mixing cabin. Can I say, love? Much more to come on this space. The bathroom, living room and kitchen are busy being transformed.
A stylish pattern packing big girl's room for the cutest little girl. I also did her big sister's room, stay tuned...
Welp. I turned 30, my dears. Luckily, I had my best friends with me to celebrate in the oh so chic Palm Springs. We hardly slept, drank to an oblivion, danced like spazzes and laughed until our stomachs felt like we did the 8 minute ab series on repeat the entire weekend. Let me provide you with a recap, because you deserve an explanation. Sam and I floated our gigantic inflatable swan. I mean I have to tell you, it was the best accessory of the weekend. Treat yourself and get you one.
I took shots. Lots of shots.
I hung out with some drag queens.
One of my favorite gifts I received for my day of birth. Get you this clutch. You are going to need it.
I have recently been working with a client locally on jazzing up a few of her spaces. I just finished the designs and we are in the implementation phase. I cannot wait to show you the finals but until then, here are the plans.

So things I have been digging lately. Spaces? I mean, this cotton candy painted traditional entry room is everything. Everything.
Things? I recently came across the work of Adina Mills and I have to tell you, I am quite impressed. As we are all aware, I am totally in love with big azz in your face jewelry and I absolutely HAVE to have one of these rings. I plan on wearing them all Summer long. Big geodes are my thang.

Sayings? And a little mantra for your week and or life. Do it girl.

Mix and Match Seating

Good morning you babes, you. Are you rested? So today I am chatting about mix and match seating in the dining room. I have recently been working with a client where I implemented the concept, and let me tell you  folks, I am looking and I am liking. We used a settee, two exaggerated wingbacks and then finished it off with casual seating opposite of the settee. It is definitely a juxtaposition that I dig. I wouldn't be spouting off without a few examples for you lovelies.

I mean, how can you turn that one down? Here are a few combos that would complete the look no matter what your aesthetic may be.

Memorial Day Must Haves

Lovers! Are you all eating to excess, drinking too much and spending your entire month's salary on Memorial Day sales? Good girls. Just the way it was intended. So I have been traveling my ass off and working the other part of that off, so I apologize for my unannounced absence. Things will be slowing down soon so we can talk again on the reg, K? Ok so I thought since I had a little down time this weekend, that I would share what I am digging during all of these Memorial Day sales. They are must haves. Truly.

One. This stackable bracelet. I first came across these babies from my girl Mel and thought they might be a bit rich for my blood. But turns out, you are getting like 15 bracelets for the price of 3. I mean it would be financial suicide to not partake. A real value.
Two. Mexican Serape from Lulu & Georgia. Perfect for any foot of the bed that feels bare, an outdoor picnic or a throw to jazz up the back of a couch. Buy this weekend and get 25% off! Use MEMORIALDAY25 at checkout.
Three. Ummm these smoking slippers. I mean I am not one for flats, but I could make an exception for these. I am all about a flamingo especially when it involves smoking slippers.
Four. The Circle. I mean who doesn't love a tale about a woman rising in power? Set in a utopian culture, this book is not short of salacious drama or snark.  Larve. Oh, and it's pretty.
Five. Everyone is a dumb whore. Well I mean, because everyone is. Amirite?
Six. This. Art. Totally envisioning this stacked with something more figurative. 15% off of everything at Furbish this weekend using code SUMMERTIME.
Seven. Mara Hoffman's new collection with Anthropologie spawned this gem. If this is wrong, I certainly don't want to be right. Now everyone can have Mara's bohemian vibe in their home. More specifically, on their couch.
Eight. Adorable, and even better, affordable makeup bag. Love the tribal yet girlie feel. Cannot wait to shove all of my makeup needs up in here.
Nine. Can't a girl get some fringe? Digging these neutral fringe heels. Feel like they could go with just about anything for the Summa.
Ten. Loving this Art District print. I came across this site, which every picture literally makes me want to take off to another place immediately. If nature is your thing, covered. Urban areas? Got it. Super affordable and unique prints.

Let's get to the free. Shall we? I came across the graphic genius Bri Emery and her free and downloadable graphics for all of your tech needs. KT is the artist on these beauties and I have since converted every background and wallpaper I can get my hands on. Do it.

I hope you all have a LOVELY holiday weekend. I will be back in full force next week with room updates, recipes and anything else I can pontificate about. Loves. xoxo

My 30th Birthday...Palm Springs Chic

My dearest ladies. Today would be my 30th birthday, officially. This is truly a mile marker by way of birthdays. You feel? I am so glad to be rocking it into my 30's because when I was in my 20's I thought I had to have it all figured out: love, life and and the key to happiness. Well folks, I am here to tell you I didn't have a freaking clue. I thought I needed a man in my life to feel loved, absolute stability and routine to live my life and security to feel happiness. Wrong, wrong and more wrong. All you need in life is family, friends, passion and drive, your belief in yourself, the humility to learn, a strong cocktail and the ability to crack a witty and snarky joke on any occasion. I am convinced this is the road map to life. I want it all, and all I shall get. To my 30's!

In conclusion, I have to tell you I couldn't be more excited to be cruising into my 30's (maybe because God invented Botox and girlfriends). Afterall, 30's are the new 20's. So in spirit of my 30th birthday, 6 of my very closest girlfriends will be accompanying me to celebrate in the chicest of all ways, in Palm Springs. I mean like I have to tell you, my girl Sam will be in attendance. The weekend will be filled of boozing, uncontrollable laughter, the highest of heels and serious SPF. Be sure to follow along here for up to the minute updates. But until then, let's get in the mood. Shall we?
