Well. The end is no longer near, it is here. I love a good rhyme scheme in the morning. I have put the final touches on my space and now it is ready for its close up, Mr. Demille. I told you all last week that my hideous Ikea cube shelving unit was in desperate need of a little bronzer and some blush to update her look. Insert greek O'verlays and black lacquer paint. I tell you what, they make all of the difference. How Hollywood Regency of them...
Just a traumatic flashback of what she used to look like.
And the cubical units styled.
Remember this little gallery wall ensemble? Well I added a black and white striped throw for contrast.
A close up of what is happening on my desk. Please note my awesome new mousepad by Birdaria in the Marrakesh Bazaar Red. Could it be anymore perfect?
Of course my new personalized agenda from May Books is getting some face time on my desk. Thanks to the fabulous recommendation by my girl Natalie I now have a cute way to keep track of my busy schedule.
My creative addition to the once plain desk.
Lucite business card holder to carry this precious cargo. Where the magic happens.
I am lovin' it.
You know the drill. Here are the other ladies that are bursting through the finish line with me this morning. It isn't a pretty finish line either. Blood, sweat and tears.

I have to say, the ORC was definitely a challenge but I will tell you what the real challenge was. The ORC we had going on at our house last night. One room. One night. Done. I am not even kidding. More on that next week. Thank you so much for following along and supporting me in this back breaking, self induced torture chamber. Loves!

ReplyDeleteVery nicely done. I am loving that rug and antler piece.
ReplyDeleteWhoa buckwheat! Let's back up here. Way to dress up that Ikea shelving...it is pretty special now! And I am still green with envy over that brass lamp on the desk. You should give me the rug...just cause.
ReplyDeleteLook out world...you have a great space now!
WOW. This is INCREDIBLE!! How seriously exciting to have a new glamorous, chic, colorful office? And do I see Mark Twain??
ReplyDeleteBesides being designerly are you literary too? Rock on, Lindsay.
So many very cool things! Love the deer head. It pops on the dark wall. You did an awesome job staging your bookshelves and etegere. I think the chandelier is my favorite. You designed a very inspirational office to spend lots of creative time enjoying.
ReplyDeleteSuch a perfect office, no doubt you will have no end of inspiration working in there! So jelly! Congrats on completing the One Room Challenge with flying colours!
ReplyDeletelove love the outcome! the bulletin board came out great!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, I'd need a desk twice the size though, my work has a habit of spreading and my project files are out off the shelves permenantly! I tried having pretty happy things on my desk, but they kept getting shoved into the corner then falling off! They are now all lined up in a row on my piano...my office is my dining/music/tv room. Sigh....I'm sooooo jealous... Love the corners on the desk btw!
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing!!! The overlays make a HUGE difference, and bring some spice to that piece of furniture! The corners on the desk are a great added detail and can't get over that rug! Great job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You must be so happy with it!
